The “Let” Process

At ScalpCarolinas, we believe in keeping the customer informed, and more importantly, keeping things simple. The SMP process consists of 3 sessions we’ve named LET (Life Changer, Enhancer, Touch-Up). Once the quoted price is agreed on (which covers all three sessions), there will NEVER be a discussion about additional pricing unless the customer wants to make major adjustments.
What Is Scalp Micropigmentation?

SMP is a procedure for gaining exposure on a national and international level. It is a form of tattoo—different in its execution and final results. The procedure entails the use of a specialized needle and ink to create the look of hair follicles on the scalp, creating a natural, close-cropped look…The main benefit of the procedure comes from the illusion of hair follicles without having to go under the knife for expensive, invasive surgery.
While some refer to this as a “hair tattoo,” it is much more advanced, permanent, non-invasive, affordable alternative than surgery.
The first session establishes a foundation, where your entire scalp is treated. 7-10 days later, a second session enhances the first, and 7-10 days after, a final session fine-tunes minuscule details.
Each procedure is specifically catered to each clients need. Again, the procedure is permanent, requiring touchups to freshen it every 3-4 years.

Although we cannot provide exact costings on this page as every client has unique requirements, we can give you some indication of what to expect.
What Happens?
3 Sessions Of Life Changing Treatments
We will explain this process to you during the consultation and we are always available to you to answer any questions. A great client is one that is well informed and so we are very forthcoming with information and are very transparent during the entire process.
Consultation
The consultation can be done in person, via Skype, or through photo examinations. During this 30-minute free session, we seek to understand your concerns and discuss how we can best help you.
Session 1 – Life Changer
The Life Changer Session—about 3-4 hours—achieves 70% of the final portion of results.
Session 2 – Enhancer
1 – 2 weeks after 1st session has healed, 1-2 hours is spent enhancing and further blending the procedure to fit every aspect of your style, taking in your feedback. Believe it or not, the product is enhanced even further from the first session.
Session 3 – Touch Up
The Touch Up session is the last of the three—an hour spent intricatly examining details and making minor adjustments. A dot, here or there.
Aftercare
Look After Your Treatment The Right Way
MicroPigmentation allows you to live simply, without needing to worry or do extra maintenance to your hair on an ongoing basis. However, keep in mind that the initial maintenance required during the first few days are crucial to preserving the benefits of the procedure.
Please be sure to follow these simple steps to ensure your scalp heals properly during the first 2 weeks:
- No heavy sweating for 48 hours
- Cover your head from the sun with a cap
- Do not wet your scalp for 48 hrs
- Apply the applicator provided 3 times daily
- Do not scratch it when itching (Pat)
- Always use clean hands when touching it
NOTE: Once the sessions are complete, there is no other maintenance outside of trimming your hair and ensuring that if you will be exposed to the sun for along period of time, to use sunscreen (Long continuous exposure to the sun expedites the fading process)
